Decorative ceramic lidded jug by Bita Mühlendyck. The ceramic artist lived from 1908 to 2002 and was the wife of Wim Mühlendyck. The piece has a calm, handcrafted presence with a rounded body, side handle, short spout and matching lid.

Particularly attractive is the lively glaze in shades of grey, brown, blue and green. The vertical all-over decoration gives the jug a clear rhythmic appearance, while the glossy glazed surface emphasises its handmade character.

The jug is marked on the underside.
