An exceptional glass vase from the well-known Rhapsody series, designed by František Zemek for Mstišov, Czechoslovakia. The vase probably dates from the 1950s and beautifully shows the elegant, experimental character of Czech mid-century glass design.

Particularly striking is the tall, slender form with its long drawn-out neck and solid base. The clear glass is animated by the pink internal decoration, which runs organically through the body of the vase and gives the piece a sculptural, almost floating quality.

The vase still retains its old Bohemia Czechoslovakia 1414 Hand Made label. A decorative and highly collectible piece for lovers of Bohemian glass, Czech design and mid-century studio glass.
