Louisiana pendant lamp  copper by Jørgen Bo and Vilhelm Wohlert for Louis Poulsen 1960s

A rare classic!

Copper shade, painted white inside. The Louisiana lamp was designed by Vilhelm Wohlert & Jørgen Bo and manufactured by Louis Poulsen in Denmark in the early 1960s. It's an elegant, simple, yet stunningly good design. The pendant lamp is named after the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark. Wohlert and Bo worked on the building for a total of 33 years to make it Denmark's most visited museum. The lamp has the original ring of louvers to diffuse the light. Ceiling canopy and cable were renewed a few years ago. However, I recommend replacing the cable again because it has a slight kink.

Dimensions:

Height: 20.5cm

Diameter: 40.5cm

Good vintage condition with small signs of wear commensurate with age (was hanging in my house for a long time). A design classic for collectors.
