Fat Lava Vase Unknown Maker 1970s

A small decorative ceramic vase from the 1970s with an expressive Fat Lava glaze. The maker cannot be clearly identified; the vase is marked on the underside, but the mark or signature is unclear.

Particularly attractive is the dark base glaze with a lively raised lava structure in light blue, white and turquoise. The surface has a rough, sculptural appearance and is very typical of experimental ceramic design from the 1970s. The small open lava bubbles are part of the glaze effect and are caused by the manufacturing process.

A lovely piece for collectors of Fat Lava, West German pottery and decorative 1970s ceramics.
