Large and highly decorative Bay Keramik jug vase in the Kongo décor, dating from the 1950s. The vase features a warm reddish-brown matte surface, an elegant rounded body, a high pouring lip and a large handle.

The abstract graphic décor with fine lines and coloured accents in blue, yellow, white and dark brown gives the piece a strong Mid Century character. With its impressive size and expressive design, this vase is a striking example of early West German Pottery.

Marked on the underside with W. Germany 250/42.
