Product information "Strehla Fat Lava Vase – East German Pottery, 1970s / Blue-Brown Design"

An expressive ceramic vase by Strehla from the former GDR, probably dating from the 1970s. The clear cylindrical shape, slightly flared rim and striking Fat Lava glaze make this vase a typical example of East German pottery from this period.

Particularly eye-catching is the textured relief decoration in blue, brown, black and bronze-toned accents. The applied lava-style glaze creates a vivid surface and gives the vase a strong decorative presence. A beautiful collector’s piece for lovers of East German ceramics, Fat Lava design and 1970s pottery.

The vase is marked and in excellent condition.
