Kosta Boda Vase by Bertil Vallien – Artist Collection

This Kosta Boda vase is a fine example of Scandinavian Modernist design. It was designed by Bertil Vallien as part of the Artist Collection. The vase has a slightly bulbous body and is decorated with a raised swirl pattern. It is made of clear glass with an etched surface and features an iridescent purple, gold and green sheen.

The base is engraved with the signature “BODA ARTIST COL. B. VALLIEN 48047”.

The vase is in very good condition with only minor signs of use and would benefit from cleaning on the inside. It is very well preserved and undamaged, but shows traces from the manufacturing process: the body is slightly flattened on one side, which is not damage but an original production feature.
