Karl Holmberg Wooden Toast Rack – Sweden, 1950s midcentury design

A very beautiful toast rack by Karl Holmberg, Götene Sweden, probably dating from the 1950s. The elongated form with curved handle and bentwood arches looks elegant, light and very typical of Scandinavian design from this period.

Particularly attractive is the combination of warm wood tones, clear functional design and the rhythmically arranged bentwood loops. The toast rack is suitable not only for slices of toast, but also works beautifully as a decorative serving piece or collector’s item for lovers of Swedish Mid-Century design.

The toast rack is marked on the underside with Karl Holmberg Götene Sweden and the number 276.
