Product information "Strehla Square Vase – East German Pottery, 1970s / Fat Lava Design"

A striking square ceramic vase by Strehla from the former GDR, probably dating from the 1970s. The angular bottle-shaped form with short neck and broad shoulders is very typical of modern ceramic design from this period.

Particularly decorative is the geometric relief design with a strong Fat Lava glaze in dark brown, black, ochre and light turquoise-green tones. The structured panels, flowing glazes and raised contours give the vase a bold graphic appearance. A beautiful collector’s piece for lovers of East German pottery, Strehla ceramics, Fat Lava and 1970s design.

The vase is marked on the base and is in very good condition. There is only one tiny flea bite.

Dimensions:
Height approx. 22 cm
Width approx. 11.5 cm

Condition:
Very good condition with one tiny flea bite. No further damage.
