Modernist Smoked Glass Pitcher 1950s 1960s Mid Century Design

A particularly beautiful glass pitcher made of smoked glass with an optically ribbed surface.

The clear, restrained shape is characteristic of Mid Century design from the 1950s and 1960s and is stylistically reminiscent of Scandinavian designs of the period, including works by Kaj Franck. The maker and designer have not been conclusively identified.
