Tray with bamboo handles - hein matten

A shapely tray in typical Bauhaus-influenced style. Designed and made by Hein Matten / Germany - around 1940/ 1950. Brass, with wobbled and hand-hammered decor inside. The item measures approx. 13.5 cm x 23 cm/ 5.3' x 9' (without handles). Minimal traces of use (a few small surface scratches/ not eye-catching,) apart from this in very good undamaged condition. Marked underneath with the impressed stamp of the artist. An extremely rare object!
